On a recent trip to California, I found myself walking along the Pacific coast. I turned around and saw that I had left a long trail of footprints in the sand. I begin to think about the footprints that we all leave in this world. What will our legacies be? We all make differences with our lives. We are here for a purpose and sometimes it takes a lifetime for us to determine what that is. What choices do we make that will affect others in a positive way? What are our priorities? How will we be remembered by family, children, co-workers, neighbours? One thing is certain. Just like the ocean that washes up and removes our footprints, our opportunities to change ourselves and those around us and to make lasting contributions to this world in which we live are limited. What will be your footprint? It’s never too late to create that unique mark that will truly remain in the minds and hearts of future generations. Let people know that you were here and that you made the most of the God given grace poured upon you.
